Default Maytag washer leaking oil
Model Number: MAV6257AWW   Brand: Maytag   Age: 5 - 10 years

Hello everyone, I have a maytag washer that is leaking oil out the bottom transmission seal. The plastic dust cover on the tail end of the shaft is covered in oil. It seems like a simple job if the seal is replaced from the bottom, ( IS IT ? ) Also, how do you check the oil level ? If it is low how do you add oil and what type of oil ? thank you.
