Hi.

Unplug the washer.
To open the door - remove three screws at the rear of the top, slide it 1" back and lift. Locate the door lock on the right, reach to the bottom of it and pull the ring down.

Then find this part - filter emitter and check if it gets 120v to it and through it. Bypass it - it's no longer available.

The filter Part number: 34001330
Part number: 34001330

If the filter is OK - replace the control board

Part number: W10273828
Part number: W10273828

Here are the breakdown diagrams and Replacement parts for Maytag NFW7200TW10 AUTOMATIC WASHER | AppliancePartsPros.com

Thank you. Post the results.

Simon.

Simon, need a picture or diagram showing the "three screws at the rear of the top" and the ring. need also a picture / instructions as to where i would find the filter emitter, how to bypass it, and what tool to use to check the emitter. do you know why the emitter is no longer available? replace the control board as in buy a new one or simply put it back where it should be? Thanks Simon.

Hi.

Did you open the link with the diagrams and parts breakdown?

Did you pull out the washer and looked at the back?

To check the voltage you need a multimeter. I send you the picture of the filter so when you open the top you will recognize the part.

To bypass means to connect the corresponding wires without the filter.

To find out why the filter is not available you need to contact the Maytag.

Here is the door latch, the ring is at the end, you could find this info at the parts breakdown link if you open it.

The latch Part number: 8182634
Part number: 8182634

Thank you.

How will the dryer having been installed on top of the washer affect the performance of the repair steps?

Simon, If I got a pro to come to my home, what would you say would be a resonable price to pay for the repair? Labor and parts included? And would you say that most likely a new control board would be needed?

Hi.

You may get the estimate over the phone with several companies. Let the repairman give you the exact opinion on this matter. I already gave you mine. He will have to check the parts and then let you know what is the problem.

Thank you.

Simon.
