I have a Maytag LAT2194AAE, It agitates but will not spin and the smell of burning rubber/belts starts. I replaced the belts, put new glideways in and it's still the same.

Any help would be appreciated

I think you have transposed numbers in your model number.

I also think the problem is that the brake is not releasing. You will need to go into the machine to fix the brake problem and you have to be careful because there is a brake spring under very high tension. You need a special brake tool to take the brakes apart.

These are very good machines, but if you can find a good basic top loader on sale that may be the way to go.

The machine number is correct LAT2194AAE Maytag top loader. Is it too much to get it fixed then? It washes nut struggles to spin and then the burning smell starts. Belts are new, glideways replaced.

I am of the opinion that a new machine is your best bet. It won't cost that much more than fixing this one, and you will have a nice, warranted washer.
