I know where the leak is coming from, just above the tub support, which is #13 on the transmission parts explosion. Most likely it is seals #6 and 11, which are inexpensive parts. My real problem is how to get at those parts. I have removed he agitator, the upper basket rim, and the four bolts that hold the inner basket in place, but the basket doesn't just lift out. It seems that the basket is locked in place by corrosion, residue, etc. how can I pry this thing up? There is a hard seal around the agitator shaft, will that come up with the basket, or is the basket on top of this seal and nut?

Hi.

Rock gently the basket side to side to remove it.
Most likely you will need to replace the tub seal assembly

Part number: 12001598
Part number: 12001598

Thank you.

The inner basket is held by the 4screws witch you already removed. It has to come out. But then to remove the seal you need the spanner wrench and the seal nut tool.
