Cycle will not advance

Model Number: FWS 1233 FS1 Brand: Frigidaire Age: 1 - 5 years

Appliance Parts from AppliancePartPros.com

The timer will not advance when machine is in operation. I have to turn the dial by hand to make the washer go through the cycles. Do I need to replace the timer? Would be grateful for any advice.
