Problem gradually has gotten worse over the past few months... today it quit final high speed spin regardless of wash cycle... clothes wet at end of cycle. Machine will not run final spin cycle.

Machine runs any wash option, shifts to "spin" cycle for about one second, (but doesn't high speed spin) then shuts off and says cycle complete.
Checked and cleaned drain filter - still has same issue.

Ran diagnostic cycle, but machine did not throw any codes. Oddly, machine successfully ran high speed spin during diag... what the heck????

Any clue other than replace MCU..? Thanks for any help...

If the diagnostics are not running correctly this suggests a problem with the main control unit.


These Duet models are just awful to diagnose, so even if you were a Whirlpool tech you would still be just replacing components until you found the problem. I am pretty confident a new main control unit or motor control unit will fix things, but strangely enough if that does do the trick it can be the door lock assembly.

*Apparent Resolution* Replaced the MCU (part# W10205839) and seems to work now - thanks for the help
