The barrel seems to have dropped approximately 3/4" but the bushings and springs all seem okay. Any ideas?

I assume you are talking about the tub assembly. Interesting. Does the washer work at all and if so, what are the problems?

If you can you give us a complete model number we might be able to provide some insight (or we might not, you never know)
