Default Kenmore Series 90 Washer Auger not spinning
Model Number: 110.20922990   Brand: Kenmore   Age: 5 - 10 years

hi,
I have a Kenmore Series 90 washer 8yo. Model110.20922990
The problem is that the Auger on the agitator does not move all of the time. It is suppoosed to draw the clothes into the water. Sometimes it does and other times it seems to slip. I took apart down to the agiitator and everything seems to be fine. I did not see any broken or chipped parts.
Is there a part below the agitator it that is suppossed to engage the Auger and may be causing the problem?

thanks

Most likely the problem caused by the worn out agitator cam dogs (#21 on the break down diagram).

In order to remove the auger, remove the agitator cap (#1 on the break down diagram) and unscrew the retainer (#22 on the break down diagram).

You will need a 1/2" socket wrench driver to remove the retainer.

- The part number for the agitator repair kit is AP3094544

I did not get what part are you talking about. Can you refer to a references number on the break down diagram?

This is the retainer which should be unscrewed and you have to use a 1/2" socket wrench driver to do it.
