After reading some posts from back in 09 with replies from sidfink43 I've tried to replace the belt on my front loader - it keeps slipping off towards the drum - I've checked the alignment and it appears that the pulley is about a 1/8" shorter than the drum wheel - suggestions please

Hi. Open the door and try to move the basket up and down and side to side. If it moves - then the tub bearings are bad. To replace them you 'll need to replace the outer tub assembly, which is very pricey and requires good technical skills. The tub Part number: 22004465

Simon, thanks much - the tub will move side to side not up and down so that would cause the tub/pulley to not align? thanks again Doug

Hi.
One more thing to check. See if the tub pulley is loose, tighten it and try to put the belt on. If it's not then it's the bearings.
Thank you.
Simon.
