Model Number: A9700 Brand: Maytag Age: Less than 1 year
I recently diagnosed my check switch was bad and so now I am just curious. I don't see anywhere on the schematic where there is a system to detect out of balance, except maybe the 'cent sw.' on the motor, but this appears to be more about starting the motor than detection balance. So...what part is responsibly for detecting out of balance condition? I have 2 switches in my lid switch assembly and if it is in one of those switches, which one is it? Enquiring minds want to know...

that larger "cherry" switch is the "out of balance" switch ... that's it ... the micro switch is for another purpose.. always replace complete lid switch kit ( whenever either fail )
