Got a front load washer that is barely over a year old. Bought it on April 26th, 2011. Keep getting a code of E58. Now that we're out of manufactures warranty I'm glad we bought an extended warranty and believe me, we've used it many times. First they replaced the motor, then the control board. Worked for a month or so, then same error. Then they replaced them both at the same time....couple weeks later, not draining. The dreaded E58 code again. :( What are we doing wrong? I've run the error code diagnostic and according to the data sheet it is for high current on the motor phase. But they've replaced both the motor and the control board. I now know that the combination of heat, water and vibration is bad for a control board. I'm ready to go back to the manufacture to fight for a "lemon-law" replacement.

Are you sure you did not overload the washer? It could cause such error code.
Remove the belt from the motor and spin the motor and the tub pulleys. How freely are they spinning?
Gene.

We still get the E58 on any size load. Couple of bath towels and wash cloths or a load of 6 pairs of jeans....same thing. I've read on here about other washers door switch maybe being bad and not letting it get a normal spin going. Could that have anything to do with it? I'll check them pulleys and belt right now. Thanks Gene.

Actually had the service people back out here and they replaced something...asked the wife...I don't know, but they took the top off this time. That's good, but doesn't help me much. Did they leave any paperwork? Nope. Great:confused: I suspect he replaced the control board or something else electronic. But it's working just fine now. Spins, drains...all good. Thanks Gene.
