Model Number: LG WM-2277HW Front Load Washer Brand: -other- Age: 5 - 10 years
The drum spins unevenly and makes noise even when empty and spun by hand. Is one or more of the shock absorbers loose or shot? I can push back on part of the drum and it is secure, but other parts I can move back an inch or so. Is the shock detached or shot? Or is it something else? Do I need to open it up to be sure? The part looks like Item Number AP4436949, is this right? How many would I need if they are broken? Also, is the washer safe to use as is, or will I damage it more if I use it. (I have a family of 6, so we really need to use it all the time.) Thanks in advance for any help.
