I bought a new timer for this but can't get the cover off after unscrewing back. Can't get the timer knob off.
How can I do this?

You have to open the console in order to access it. Use 3 first steps from the instructions attached to the reply.

The knob is screwed onto the timer shaft. You should be able to unscrew it while it's pushed in.
