 I have a Whirlpool Duet Sport washer that doesn't spin or drain properly. When cycle goes into spin , the machine spins very slowly and as a result all the clothes are wet at end of cycle. Even when I put control in drain/spin only I get the same result. I've already been to Whirlpool troubleshooting but there is a lack of information relating directly to spin/drain problems. I'm not sure if its a pump problem or other. Problem is very noticeable if we wash items such as pillows, bathroom rugs, tennis sneakers, heavy duty items, etc. We don't overload our machine but it simply doesn't seem to spin or drain at correct speed anymore. Can someone give me a hint at what to check. Thank you.

Look under the top or inside the lower service panel and you should find some tech notes that will show you how to generate error codes.

These Duets are very hard to diagnose, a lot of time you just end up replacing components one by one until you fix it. Sometimes you don't even fix it.

Thank you to those who replied. Unfortunately I paid for advice on just answers.com before anyone here could answer. Sure enough my problem was a clogged drain filter before the pump inlet. There are plenty of You Tube Videos on how to fix this and I did fix the problem (bobby pins, coins, plastic junk found in filter). By the way, I see nothing but complaints about Whirlpool Duet machines and NOBODY SHOULD BUY THESE MACHINES, THEY SUCK. Thank goodness these aren't my machines
