Our agitator pulls out of the transmission. The spline end on the bottom of the shaft comes with the agitator. What holds that shaft down?

Well...depends on the style is c the model number but most have a screw that holds the agitator on through the agitator to the transmission.....Most of the time the screw breaks off in trans or wears a big hole in agitator....If it broke in the trans a new transmission is needed(new washer purchase) or the the agitator needs to be replaced....Try that
