GE Washer Fills, Agitates, Spins etc but still soap

This just started this last week out of the blue.
Fills(cold, warm, hot), agitates(slow/fast), drains, spins (low/high) no problem. Clothes are left with a lot of soap. I have to run an additional 2 rinse only cycles to get things straightened out to my satisfaction and that is wasteful and time consuming.
I noticed that during the spin I had used to see a spray of water once or twice and that is no longer present during any type of cycle.
Diags work and I get hot and cold water no problem. So, I ordered a control board. No change.
I recently had surgery and really need this working to clean things and not have issues (washing or infection wise). Much more and it's out the door.
Ideas?

What kind of detergent and how much of it did you use?
If it's not a HE detergent, try to switch to HE detergent and use as less as possible of it. Don't use any fabric softeners.
Using a magnet at the right front corner of the frame under the lid, activate the lid switch, so you will be able to run the washer with the lid open, and watch how the water comes in during the rinse and spin cycles. Post the results.
Gene.
