Default Washer noise on spin cycle...not unbalanced load
Model Number: 110.22292100   Brand: Kenmore   Age: 1 - 5 years

Washing machine makes noise whenever the agitator is moving. Has also at time left clothes wetter than normal after complete cycle. Unbalanced load is NOT the problem. Appears to spin normally. Having difficulty finding a repair manual for this model. It is a direct drive washer. Unsure what to do. Thanks.

Check the coupler between the motor and transmission

I've determined that the noise is not during spin but during agitation. Do you recommend checking the coupler for that as well? My husband and I are going to have to pull this out of the laundry closet (no easy feat) so I'm trying to get an idea of what to look for before we get it out and start shooting blindly. Thanks.

Noises during the agition or spin cycle are indications of a bad coupler. This is the inexpensive part. It could also be the transmission.
