Last week - Water has leaked from the washer - internally but not out the drain hose..
This week - Now it is full of water and does not drain at all.
I know washers are simple, but this one looks like entry for repair is from the front of the machine - I still can't figure out how to remove the panel - Does anyone have the secret? I believe if I can get it apart, I might have a 90 percent chance of solving the problem.
I hate to give this one up - It still looks good and performed very well until the last two washings.

Without a model number I can only give you the generic answer.

These machines usually open by releasing clips at each edge in the gap between the front panel and the top. This will allow the front to come off.

Alternatively, it may be there are two screws at the bottom that hold the front panel on.

Hope this helps, if you need more info please post the full model number.
