My Maytag Neptune MAH4000AWQ has refused to stop after any cycle. The timer seems to be working as everything else works fine, but after the spin cycle ends and timer moves to the off position, it just sits there with the door locked and continues to spin off and on. I have to hit the stop button and wait for a few minutes to open the door. Clothes are clean and spun dry, no excess water is being retained. Unit just won't stop.

Hi,

Could be a number of things causing this.

Here are some things I have seen cause this problem.

1. Bad door lock wax motor.
2. Bad door lock check switch.
3. Control board.

You will need to troubleshoot it with a multimeter or just start throwing parts at it.
