Water Temp hot regardless of setting
Model Number: 28522701 Brand: Kenmore Age: 5 - 10 years
I work for a vacation home property management company near Disney in Florida .. we got a call last night from a guest who states no matter what temperature she selects to do laundry = the water is always hot.
I sent my maintenance guy over and he called to report that none of the temperature settings are working correctly. If you put it on a cold wash, you get hot water. If you put it on a warm wash, you get hot water. If you put it on a hot wash, you get warm water ... none of the settings are working correctly. He is assuming it is the water temperature switch but wanted me to post to the forum first to see what you all have to say out there(Gene was a great help a couple months back with another problem). I searched parts for the washer model number he brought me and there was no such model found. Hoping this is just an oversight on his part and not that its a really really old obsolete machine! Very likely the problem is a bad water temperature switch. This is the only part which operates with the water temperature.
- The ATC water temperature switch Part number: AP4358828 Gene. P.S. He missed "110" prefix in the model number.
