The washer is only 14 months old. The Hot water sometimes comes out when cold or warm is selected, but not always. Sometimes the washer rinses in Hot water when cold is selected. When this occurs, if you turn the knob to hot, cold water comes out. The clothes are sometimes steaming hot after the rinse cycle. Does not happen every time. My wife says that it has done it since it was bought. Now that it's out of warranty she tells me! Any ideas? Wiring diagram? And yes, of course, I have checked to make sure that the hoses were hooked up correctly at least a half dozen times. They are correct.

Yeah, it would have been nice to know this when the machine was under warranty.

I think your choices are the water temp switch and the timer, but you are going to have to replace them to be certain. I would start with the water temp switch, it was probably defective from the factory and if that does not fix it, the timer would be next to replace.
