Model Number: FWT647GHS0 Brand: Frigidaire Age: 5 - 10 years
I have a Frigidaire front loader that is not spinning correctly. When this started we also noticed that the drum was swinging pretty freely. After opening up the back, I found that the two shocks on the bottom had broke. These have since been replaced, but the spinning still does not work correctly. What it does is spin perhaps 2/3 around, stops for a few seconds, spin 2/3 around again, stop, switch direction, spin 2/3 around .... This is in wash mode. In rinse/spin mode, it still does the same thing. It never spins continously or at high speeds. Everything else (water, pump, etc.) works fine. I am assuming it is either in the speed controller assembly or in the timer. But how can you tell for sure?
