Maytag top load Doesn't agitate
Model Number: MAV4755AWW Brand: Maytag Age: 1 - 5 years
Washer goes through all the processes of filling and spinning, but when it should agitate it makes a loud sound and does not agitate. Removed the agitator assembly in the tub and the threads look fine. What should I be looking for next?

Hi.
Most likely the problem is with the transmission. Replacing it is not the easiest job in the world. If you are mechanically inclined and own tools you should be able to do it. Check the drain pump, belt and motor pulley. You may need to replace them too.
