Maytag Neptue front loader washer. Door wouldn't open after wash cycle ended so we had to locate the emergency release to get inside but now the door wont open normally any more. Now when we run a load the washer stops andwe get a message error on the control pannel stateing that the door isn't latched when indeed it is closed and latched. How can I fix the door so the latch works properly so the washer wont quit when we do a loadof laundry?

Most likely the problem is a bad door latch or its switches. You can not replace just a switch because it comes as a whole assembly.
