My washer won't spin anymore. It does agitate. For the past several months, we occasionally had to rerun the spin cycle and/or manually get the spin cycle started. But, now it won't manually start either.

The first and likely suspect is the lid switch. By-pass it and see if it works. If it does, replace the lid switch.
If you are unsure of how to do that, see any one of the literally hundreds of posts on this site which will explain how to do it or give you a link to a site with photos.
If it is not the lid switch, the next culprit to accuse is the clutch.
Let us know what you find out.
Good luck.

The lid switch works just fine. i can hear the motor running. Would the clutch allow the agitator to work still?
