My Kenmore washer will not maintain any type of temperature controll. Cold/Cold may give you Hot/Hot. Or Warm/Warm may give you Cool/Cool. I replace the water inlet valve thinking that the soleniods may have been bad. It worked perfectly for about 10 loads and is now doing the same thing again. I replaced the temperature selector switch, it worked fine for a few loads and then started the same thing again. I put the old inlet valve back in and it worked fine for awhile and then messed up again. I also tryied unplugging is for a few minutes to try and clear any computer memory there might be-to no avail. Please Help.
Thanks
Mike

The water coming in process is controlled by the selection switch, the valves and the timer. You should check the wiring between the selection switch and the timer and between the time and the inlet valves as your symptoms, which are intermittent would indicate a problem there. If that is not the problem and if you have a new temp selection switch, and new valves then it would seem like the only component left to cause the problem is the timer.

Try to find a problem in the wiring first before spending the money on a timer.

Good luck.

Thanks for the Advise-give me a couple of days to test and check the wiring.
