Replacing parts
Model Number: LAT9520AAE Brand: Maytag Age: 5 - 10 years
Replacing Tub bearing kit and Mounting stem repair kit due to leak. Maytag center seal grease(ap4285971) is called for in repair manual a couple of times. Ordered it, but it is back ordered. Was told silicon grease (AP3415411) would work also. The question is: in the picture of silicon grease it is just silicon sealant. Is Maytag center seal grease an actual greasy product (as the name implys) that does not dry, but is greasy? OR is it actually silicaon sealant that dries to a rubbery type sealant????
