My soap dispenser unit cannot be pushed in all the way (flush with the face panel). The dispenser slides into a housing. I have found one moving part inside the housing way back in the back, in the upper right corner. This is a spring loaded swivel part that I can rotate with my fingers. I am unable to see or feel any obstruction, yet when I slide the soap dispenser into the housing, it stops short of being flush with the face panel by almost a quarter of an inch. It seems that the soap may not be properly dispensed because of this problem. Would this be a problem with soap dispenser, or the housing into which the dispenser slides?

Hi George To be honest, the answer to your question is I don't know. Without seeing your machine it is hard to tell what the problem is, but here is the service manual which will show you how to remove the dispenser assembly and check everything out. https://secured.whirlpoo...ILE/Duet%20Job%20Aid.pdfGood luck
