Maytag Atlantis wont spin

Model Number: MAVT834AWW Brand: Maytag Age: 5 - 10 years

I have a Maytag Atlantis washer that wont spin. the motor turns and the pulley turns but the tub wont spin. If I help the tub if finally catches. I changed the thrust bearing but I cant get the lower washer to fit. Neither one, the .062 or the .032 so i just put the c-clip on over the cam. Is that ok or is there a way of getting either washer on? Also if that doesnt work whats next? please help clothes are piling up.

Sometimes it is just very difficult to get one of those washers one.

See if you can get someone to help you, when I have difficulty with these I always need an extra person.
