Older Maytag La 209- Belts just replaced. fills ok , will not agitate/wash, spins ok, drains ok. What sort of problem do I have?

One of the contacts in the timer agitate mode, is not "closing" causing the motor not to run. You may also have a faulty contact in the water level switch Part number: 205616
The contact is opening and turning off the water, but may not be able to "carry" the voltage load to the motor. It's one of those either/or situations, but it's most likely a timer issue. Good Luck and Thanks, :) :) :)
