Looked at other posts regarding the removal of the inner steel sleeve bearing, which appears to be press-fit onto the transmission. There are no grooves, or other means available to drive the bearing off of the transmission on this model, and no place where a puller could be attached. The sleeve bearing is right up against the transmission with no space available. On the top, the threads disappear down under this bearing. Some posts refer to this sleeve as being brass or bronze, but on this machine, the softer metal is on the tub-side of the bearing and the harder-steel bearing is on the transmission side. Any ideas how to get the sleeve off when there do not appear to be any places on the sleeve available for a punch, steel rod, etc. to hammer on?
