Model Number: SAV5600AWW Brand: Maytag Age: 5 - 10 years
I ordered a new spin belt (27001007) for my washer (SAV5600AW). It seems to be too short. I made a "map" of how the belt fed around the pulley and motor before I pulled it off. Then I checked a few other sites for reference on how it feeds through before I put it on, but there's just not enough slack to roll the belt onto the wheel. I'm a big person, it's not for lack of strength. If I put the belt on first and then try to force the motor back onto the mounting (and I'm not exaggerating when I say force) I can't reattach the idle spring without it looking like I'll stretch it way too far. Any suggestions?
