I have ordered a replacement lid switch for my KitchenAid washing machine. Can you give me directions on removing and replacing the switch? I would appreciate it.

Well, here is a site I scarfed from another fellow which will show you how to remove the cabinet, which is where the switch is. Your console screws may be in back, or may be under plastic trim.

You will find this an easy job, the only difficult part is getting the cabinet back on correctly. It just takes patience and persistence. Make sure the front lip of the cabinet is completely under the front rail on the frame and it should drop right in. When you get frustrated, think of the money you are saving and the bragging you can do to your friends (not too much or you will have to go over and fix theirs)

Good luck, let us know if you need more info.
