The red wire on connector which attaches to the motor has broken twice on me. The first time I crimped the hole in the contact. This was when I did a repair which did not initially involve any work around the motor. After doing a repair yesterday which did involve remove and replacing the motor, the wire broken again at the top of the contact. This appears to be a high stress wire. This time I damaged the contact when pushed it out of the connector. I found the replacement part number but if a crimp the wire into a new contact, I think it will be very stretched and be an even more stressed areas and break quickly again. Any suggestions.

Hi. You may splice the short wire and using the same or a bit larger wire make it longer (2 butt connectors or 2 wire nuts). Make sure to insulate connections with electrical tape.
