Quote:...keeps on blowing the breaker when it goes into the spinning cycle... It does it right when spin starts or later? Does it spin at all? What is the complete model number of the washer? Gene.

The first thing I would do is measure the current drawn by the washer motor when it's on spin and compare it to amperage written on the name plate or on the motor. Remove the front panel and both belts. Run the washer on spin cycle and watch the motor and the circuit breaker. Post the results. Here are the breakdown diagrams and Replacement parts for MAYTAG A882 | AppliancePartsPros.comGene.

The best thing is to have a clamp-on meter. You also can use a regular multimeter with an amps scale.
Gene.
