Whirlpool Imperial Washer making high pitch noise
Model Number: LSN1000LW0 Brand: Whirlpool Age: 5 - 10 years
When the washer is in agitate, spin, etc there is a high pitch noise. The noise is much louder and igh pitched during spin then during agitate. Based on the situation I am guessing it is a motor going bad. I must add that this started to happen a few months ago then went away and has now returned. Before spending over a hundred dollars on a new motor or purchasing a new washer I want to ask if there is a cheaper possiblity such as a gasket gone bad that would create this same issue or if I just have to face reality.
