I have a maytag atlantis washer that will not stop filling with water. It will stop if I disconnect the hose from washer tub and blow through it,which I am assuming triggers the water level switch(it will click),then the washer will agitate, but once i stop blowing into the hose it will stop agitating and continue filling with water again. I just replaced the water level switch and tried again, same thing, fills with water, stops and agitates only when i blow through the hose. What else could cause this, besides the water level switch? Any help would be great! Thanks!
*Just as a side note this washer stopped working a month ago, would not spin or agitate,I replaced the pulley on the motor once I realized it was burnt up and broken, put on a new belt and it would spin and drain water, that is when I realized the filling problem...

If you are now saying it will fill, stop at the appropriate level on its own and not agitate unless you blow into the switch then this is indeed a mystery.
I would try replacing the timer, but that's only a guess. The same process that makes the water stop should start the agitation and blowing into the hose only replicates what is happening when water is filling, so don't know why blowing would cause it to agitate.
