There are two most common things which could cause prolonged time: excessive sudsing or too much inbalance occurred. Did it show "SUD" on the display during the rinse cycle or at the end? Is your washer properly leveled? Is the washer installed on a sturdy and solid floor?
How old is your washer? If it is less then two years old then the electronic controls are under the limited manufacturer warranty.
Gene.
