My Estate washer fills and agitates but won't advance to drain and spin. I drained it manualy by lowering the discharge hose but it won't spin in any cycle. I suppose it is the control/timer but wonder if could be other.

Most likely it is the lid switch. Check it out and replace it if it is bad.
