I have a maytag washing machine that just died after an unbalanced load. The machine automatically stops if load becomes unbalanced and in the past has restarted when load is repositioned. Not this time. Help!!!

Try pulling the tub forward and opening and closing the lid. If that doesn’t work look in the control panel there is a lid switch with a fuse like this one http://www.appliancepartspros.com/part_details.aspx?part_id=4026359&pn_=22001682 if the fuse is bad replace the whole lid switch. If not one of the two switches may be bad also replace the whole switch. Clothes Washer Repair Guide
