Model Number: LSQ9564JQ1 Brand: Whirlpool Age: 5 - 10 years
We recently found what appear to be oil/grease stains on the clothing after washing them. The stains were not there when we put the clothing to wash. I can't find any posts on the net of similar experiences. Does anyone know of any washer problems that would result in staining the washed items? Is there anyway that an oil leak somewhere on the washer could result in oil in the main tank. Thanks.

Pull the agitator off and the spin basket and check for a bad spin tube seal. You will need the special Whirlpool spanner wrench to take the drive block nut off the top of the basket.
