Today, during the wash cycle, our washer got stuck in a perpetual fill/drain cycle. I manually changed to 'drain', but water keeps running into the washer. The water keeps running even when the power is disconnected. Only the cold water is running. I took the top off to take a look and searched these forums. It seems like the likely culprit could be either the pressure switch, which is no longer available for order, or the water valve, which runs about $50.

Is it worth it to buy the cold water valve, or is it more likely the pressure switch? If so, what do I do then?

Any help is appreciated.

I don't work on Bosch machines, but when we have this problem on Whirlpool and other U. S. makes the cause is almost always the valve assembly. Change that out and you should be ok.
