Default No Spin on new model GE
Model Number: WJSR2080V3WW   Brand: GE   Age: 5 - 10 years

Everything works except the spin cycle. I took the front cover off and watched, and it started to work then stopped. The clutch spins freely, and it looks like that is the bad part. Do you know what the problem is?

Hi Edwin,

The first thing I would check is the lid switch (#388 on the #3 break down diagram). If it's malfunctioning then the spin will never work properly.

If there is nothing wrong then the problem is a bad clutch.

It comes as a motor/clutch assembly now.

- The part number for the lid switch is AP2620150

- The part number for the motor/clutch assembly is AP3160670

Good luck.
Gene.
