no agitation on wash cycle

Model Number: LA5550XTNO Brand: Whirlpool Age: More than 10 years

During Wash Cycle It Seems That The Agitator Is Just Not Drawing The Clothes Down And In To The Water,also It Seems To
Spin Freely,shouldn't It Lock Into Place?
