Newbie here. I have an LG wm0642h front loader. My problem began with the softener inlet valve not shutting off. It remained on even after the cycle completed and the power was off. I replaced the water level sensor and the cold water inlet valve assembly and it still is not shutting off. My question is , do you think replacing the PCB assembly will fix this problem.
Thanks in advance,
Terry

If it does it even when its unplugged yet I doubt the problem is the control board.

Thanks AJ. I haven't tried with it unpluged, I meant without the power turned off, but still plugged in. I guess I should see if it will the water stills runs with the washer unplugged. Thanks.

Well, I just tried it and it does continue to run with the washer unplugged.
For some reason the valve stays open. I just replaced the inlet valve tonite. Don't get it.

Does anyone know if the valves are opened by a continuous current and close when the current is stopped or if they recieve a current or signal to open and then one to close?

The valves need voltage to open.

So what would make a valve stick open? There are 4 valves on the cold water side. It is the same valve sticking open with the old valve set and the new one I just put on.
