My maytag performa washing machine wobbles very badly when in the spin cycle. I have been looking at other forums and found some white powder which some mentioned could be there. Does anyone have an idea of what is going on and what parts i might need. Thanks

That white powder is the snubber, which is in the process of disintegrating and that is likely what is causing your problem.

You can see where it goes if you click on your model number. That will take you to exploded views of your machine.

Thank you for your quick answer on my problem. Looking at the diagrams I see a part called a damper. Would this be the same as the snubber by any chance. If it is not though would you possibly be able to give me the part number? I am new to these things and am not sure of the layout of them. Thankyou for your time. Josh

Yes, I was thinking this model had a snubber but it has the damper pads instead. Sounds like yours are bad.

Here is the part kit

Part number: AP4024203
Part number: AP4024203

and if you look on that page you will see under the picture some questions and answer that will help guide you through the replacement.
