My timer sticks throughout all the cycles and I'm told I can purchase the following part:

My question is : Can I install it and if so, HOW? and if not - who do I call.

Hi Lisa

Installing a timer is fairly easy for anyone who can use a screw drive and has some patience. Its always hard to answer a question like yours (can you do it?) because we do not know your capability and experience. If you are at all unsure, it is best to call a friend who may have experience, because two of you can discuss things before you do anything.

Anyway, if you take the back off of the console and the knob off you will have access to the timer, which should be easy to take off. Just hook up the new one with the same wire arrangement as the old (take pictures if you are in anyway unsure how it goes)

A couple of things

1. Make sure you have the right timer, yours is for a 3 cycle.

2. There is a Speed Queen timer that is available for less money. Here is it.

Part number: AP3705938

Check with APP but I think you can use it as a perfect substitute for the more expensive one.
