Washer Broke

Model Number: LTF6000ES1 Brand: Frigidaire Age: 1 - 5 years

My washer squeeled real loud on Friday, ran it again yesterday & it stopped mid cycle. Electronics still work, but when it starts a loud, machine gun style sound starts but nothing happens. I took the back off & belt is fine & when you pull on it the tub also moves. So I was wondering what else could it be? Any ideas?

You have both shock absorbers and springs which cusion the tub. Check them to see if they are ok. A broken shock is your most likely problem.
