The washer works great until it gets to the spin cycle, I have replaced the lid switch and clutch, but I still have to initiate the spin cycle, it is like the transmission is not kicking in. After it switches to spin cycle, the water starts to drain but I have to open and close the lid to initiate spinning. After I installed the new clutch it spins faster now, but I still have to start the spinning process.

Most likely the problem is a bad timer.
