Hi guys,
I got in over my head here. Let me start from the beginning. My washer will fill up with water, then just sit there when it's supposed to be washing. Then if I advance the timer manually to the next part of the cycle, the water will drain, but after it is all drained and is supposed to spin, it just sits there, again. Whenever it sits, I hear clicking at regular intervals from the timer knob... maybe 3 clicks every two seconds, or so. So I decided to take the timer apart, although maybe that's not even the problem. There was some liquid in there, on the plastic gears... melted glue maybe? I washed all the little plastic gears and put them back on their spindles, but now I'm not sure how the big knob goes back in, or where the two plastic pieces inside go (one is a long plastic piece, slanted and high in the middle on one side, flat on the other side... the other plastic piece looks like it fits into the knob's threads somehow but I'm not sure how). So, does anybody have a diagram, or advice/instructions, or should I just call a repair man? Thanks in advance. The attachment is a zip file. You have to download it, then change its name to washer.zip instead of washer.pdf, before you can open it. Ads By Google Related Models |

Hey Heydude
The timer is not really a repairable item, it is a replaceable item. So if you want to get your machine back in a mode to test it, you are going to have to purchase a replacement timer and install. Obviously if the timer were the problem that will fix it, if not, post again and tell us what it is doing after the replacement. Here is your part. Part number: AP3184432 Good luck.
